What a great piece Judith. The colors, the strong action, the knife work and the overall composition make this a great piece.

Judy, This is awesome...what a great work! You coaxed a winner from the chaos. It is my new favorite of all your pieces.

This is a fabulous painting Judith full of life and kinetic energy. Lots of scumbling and different textures. I like how you've handled the water. Brilliant artwork!

Judith, maybe you need to use this technique more often. To me this is the strongest piece in your portfolio. Everything about it works, the composition, the color, the values, and especially your handling of the water. Did you use a palette knife? A very nice painting...

I like this painting also. I love the color and the texture. At a distance it looks like any intigrated painting but up close it's all difused. james

Lovely piece created as the universe was out of chaos I appreciate your use of the format here it makes your composition flow so well. the textured painting must be a delight in the right lighting I'm sure.

I have fun looking at this. There's something about it that brings to mind the sort of cluttery, abundant feeling of really being there in the landscape, a rich disorder. And I, too, enjoy using up paint, and letting something emerge from these "leftovers" paintings. I like what has happened in this one.

I can't believe a "leftover paint" can be so beautiful. The color and composition are super. Great painting.

About Judith Espinoza

Judith Espinoza

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from James Madison University. Early in my working career, I taught art in several high schools. Later, I studied for and received a Certificate of Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. I worked in the computer field as a systems analyst and computer programmer for 21 years. During these years I kept an oil painting in the making on my easel most of the time, but had little time to actually paint. Recently I retired from the computer field and am now able to enjoy oil painting as I wish. My favorite subject matter is landscape done in a variety of styles: realistic, impressionistic, abstract. I have done a series of oil paintings of a local landmark, Mole Hill,...
